SDS Parent/Carer Newsletter

I work for Skills Development Scotland providing career management skills coaching and guidance to students at Deans Community High School. It's more than likely that your young person will have encountered me in school whether in my office, a classroom or in the school corridor. I very much hope that you and your families are keeping safe, well and optimistic. During these 'unprecedented times' Career Advisers are working from home. Given the uncertain future ahead, it is more important than ever to help young people in the Senior Phase to develop the Career Management Skills to make decisions that are right for them. Please read the Newsletter uploaded below to find out what SDS support is available for your child and what actions they could take this summer to continue developing these decision-making skills.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

All students should have set up a password recovery email address in GLOW.

This allows you to reset your own password at home if you need to. Staff are not allowed to reply to non GLOW email addresses, so you must do this now if you haven't already.
